Officer Spotlight: Vandiver heads South Hall Council

Russell Vandiver, chairman the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce South Hall Council, seeks to keep the Chamber involved in vital issues facing South Hall and facilitate interaction with Hall County businesses and governments.



Russell Vandiver is Vice President of Economic Development at Lanier Technical College and responsible for all business and industry training programs in an eight-county service area. Programs include Quick Start, various workshops, seminars, technical certificates of credit and operation of the Ammonia Refrigerant Training Center.



A native of Jackson County, he is a graduate of the State University of West Georgia and earned his graduate degrees from Brenau University (MBA) and the University of Georgia (EDS).



“Key goals and objectives of the South Hall Council are to promote infrastructure needs for quality growth in South Hall and support and coordinate local government economic development activities through the Economic Development Council,” said Vandiver. “We hope to foster relationships with officials from Oakwood and Flowery Branch and promote interaction with these and other governments and businesses.”



Russell and his wife, Laura, live in South Hall County. Laura Vandiver is human resource manager of Kubota Manufacturing of America.
