The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will partner with Spherion Staffing, the Georgia Department of Labor and Jacobs Media for its Spring Job Fair on Tuesday, April 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Georgia Mountain Center. The event will include employers from all over the Northeast Georgia region with positions available from all different fields and services.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to seek employment in this area of the state. Currently, the Georgia Mountains Region has unemployment rate of 3.9 percent, which is well below the state’s rate of 5 percent.
“It is important to get the message out to the masses that this area is now hiring,” said Shelley Davis, vice president of existing industry with the Chamber. “We have so many great positions available, and we need to find workers with the skills to fill them,” she said.
In addition to the employers and networking opportunities, there will also be a number of seminars throughout the day designed to help sharpen the skills of job seekers.
Booth exhibit space is available. Any company interested in having a booth at the fair should contact Robyn Lynch, rlynch@ghcc.com or 770-532-6206 at the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. The seminars and the Job Fair are free and open to the public.
