Mentors Needed for Career Path Fairs

The Greater Hall Chamber and VISION 2030’s 7th Grade Career Path Fairs, a collaborative initiative of the University of North Georgia (UNG) Gainesville and Lanier Technical College, provide middle school students with an overview of the many career opportunities in Gainesville-Hall County.

Two Career Path Fairs are scheduled for 2022 – Thursday, March 10 at Lanier Technical College and Thursday, March 17 at UNG Gainesville – and will include dozens of 7th grade school students. Representatives from area companies will cover over a dozen career paths will help students learn about various jobs and careers.

“Our goal is to inform students of careers that they can build right here at home,” said Bill Hall, Chairman of Education for Vision 2030. “The Career Path Fair gives 7th graders an opportunity for a “light bulb” moment to connect to the career that will inspire them.”
