Greater Hall Chamber Hosts Event for Employers and Job Seekers

Gainesville, GA – May 8, 2008: The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Labor, will host a Job Fair on Wednesday, June 25 from 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center in Downtown Gainesville. Sponsorship opportunities are available. The Job Fair will include employers from across the Northeast Georgia region with positions available in dozens of different fields, industries and services. The Job Fair is free and open to the public.

“This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to seek employment in this area of the state,” said Chamber President/CEO Kit Dunlap. “Currently, the Gainesville MSA/Hall County has an unemployment rate of 4.4 percent, which is well below the state’s rate of 5.3 percent.”

“The Greater Hall Chamber is coordinating this event to let job seekers know that this area is now hiring,” said Robyn Lynch, Vice President of Membership Development with the Chamber. “We have so many great employers with quality positions available, and we need to find workers with the skills to fill them,” she said.

Booth exhibit space is available for employers. Cost is $200 per exhibit. Companies interested in having a booth at the fair or sponsorship opportunities should contact Robyn Lynch, rlynch@ghcc.com or 770-532-6206 at the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.
