In Today’s Economy: What’s the Chamber Doing for You?

During these challenging economic times, it’s important to know what the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce is doing to increase the value of your membership. With a staff of 12 professionals and hundreds of volunteers, the Chamber works to make our community a great place to live and do business. From leadership and community development programs to drug-free workplace initiatives, the staff consistently strives to provide meaningful and beneficial services to you and your company.

After conducting a survey of businesses, the Chamber realized a need for marketing assistance for small businesses. A workshop was held in South Hall at the Spout Springs Library with of a panel of marketing specialists. The program focused on equipping small businesses with practical tips and tools for marketing in today’s marketplace. Over 60 small businesses attended this specialized seminar on marketing.

The marketing workshop was followed by the Chamber’s regular monthly small business seminar, “Affordable Marketing Ideas.” Your Chamber seeks to provide pertinent information to help your business in these challenging economic times, as well as good economic times. Let us hear your needs, and we will try to provide timely information.

An expansion of networking events is taking place to help members increase business, exposure and sales. The Leads Group meets bimonthly to exchanges business leads. The South Hall Business Coalition, Ambassadors Council, Human Resource Council and many other Chamber groups are growing and providing vital contacts for participants. A discount on health insurance premiums is offered to Chamber members, and the Drugs Don’t Work program provides workman’s compensation discounts.

Chamber members are constantly referred for business through the Chamber Membership Division and Welcome Center with listings in our membership directory and online.
