The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Division has coordinated two political forums featuring candidates in the upcoming August 20 primary election. The events will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 15 at the Gainesville College Continuing Education Building.
Sponsors for the political forums include Gainesville College, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, The Times and WDUN Radio. Forums are free and open to the public.
August 13th Forum:
Georgia House of Representatives
Georgia Senate
August 15th Forum:
Hall County Board of Education
Hall County Board of Commissioners
Beginning at 6:00 p.m., there will be voting demonstrations on the new touch screen machines sponsored by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. All candidates will be available to speak one-on-one with voters before the forums begin at 7:00 p.m.
