Bill Galardi receives Chamber’s W.G. Mealor Chairman’s Choice Award

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s W.G. Mealor Chairman’s Award is presented to an individual who has served their community and Chamber with exceptional leadership and volunteerism. The award is bestowed to one who exemplifies high ethics and morals, is a person of vision and a leader in our community.

These are the traits possessed by Mr. Mealor who served as the first Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce from 1908 to 1917 and was also Mayor of Gainesville. He was known as a “power house” – a person with good sense and an ability to get things done.

It is keeping with these high standards the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce presented the prestigious W. G. Mealor Award to a most deserving individual – Bill Galardi of Community Bank & Trust.

“Bill is always doing more than the job calls for, always doing things in a very professional and friendly way, always participating and contributing to whatever subject or meeting he is involved with,” said Chamber Chairman Dick Valentine during the award presentation.

“Truly, Bill Galardi is someone who has gone way beyond the call of duty for the Chamber. He has served as treasurer of the Chamber for the last four years, bringing consistency and continuity to the organization’s finances. He also served as treasurer of the Economic Development Council and the HALLmark Initiative.”

In Bill’s spare time from his banking career, he is a volunteer photographer for the community… shooting photographs of local sports, schools, arts and charitable organizations and of course, your Chamber. How fortunate we all are to have Bill Galardi in charge of our Chamber finances. We truly appreciate his service to the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and to this community.
