Anita Scott has been active in the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce for several years. Prior to becoming Vice Chairman of the Education and Community Development Division, Anita served as Chairman of the Chamber’s Quality Education Strategy Team (QuEST) Council.

With a Masters in Education from Brenau University and a nursing degree from Mercer University’s Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, Anita Scott serves as Academic Liaison for Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. Anita has been affiliated with the Northeast Georgia Medical Center since 1972 when she was employed as a Maternal Child Nurse. Her employment has also included nursing faculty member, healthcare educator, and Director of Education.

In addition to the Chamber Board, Anita serves on the boards of the Lanier Technical College Foundation, Georgia Hospital Association, Health Occupation Students of America and Northeast Georgia Junior Achievement.

Anita is the author of several articles for trade publications and has earned several state association and local awards for her dedication and knowledge of the healthcare industry. She is married to Ebb Scott and has two adult sons.

“It has been my pleasure to be closely involved with the Chamber for the past for years,” said Scott. “First as the QuEST Council Chairman for two years, followed by two years in an Executive Board appointment. Blending my healthcare education background with involvement at the Chamber has been a very positive experience for me.

My employer, Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc., has had a longstanding relationship with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, and it is my honor to continue fostering that relationship to the benefit of our community.”
