VISION 2030 Launches New Website

VISION 2030 officials launched a new website today. The new site was designed and developed by Full Media, a Gainesville-based web design and internet marketing firm lead by company president Davis White and CEO Kris Nordholtz. VISION 2030 Executive Director Meg Nivens says the new site – vision2030.org – includes overviews on the program’s 15 Big Ideas, the newly organized Board of Directors, featured projects, news and events, reports, and updates.

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce VISION 2030 program was initiated in 2005 when program coordinators heard from over 1,000 Gainesville-Hall County citizens describing the community they’d like to live, work and raise families in with a “common vision.” Leaders came together to learn of “community visioning” and voted overwhelmingly to forge a solid and clear-sighted blueprint for success for Gainesville-Hall County. The result is a set of long-term goals now in place, the 15 Big Ideas, or action steps of where we’d like to be in 2030. VISION 2030 has a new, restructured Board of Directors led by Kelly Miles, Smith, Gilliam, Williams and Miles.

VISION 2030 focuses on the creation of a culture of community wellness, the support and maintenance of lifelong learning, the building of an economy around emerging life sciences, the encouragement of innovative growth/infrastructure development and the promotion of cultural integration.
