Gainesville, GA-05/08/07: Tickets are still available for the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce 99th Annual Meeting & Gala featuring Guest Speaker John Adams, Vice President, Worldwide Supply Chain for the Wm. Wrigley, Jr. Company at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Brenau University Pearce Auditorium.

The event will include a very special night of recognition and accomplishment hosted by Greater Hall Chamber Chairman Jimmy Adams, Adams Transfer & Storage Co., Chairman-Elect Denise Deal and Chamber President/CEO Kit Dunlap. The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will announce the Small Business of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Silver Shovel Awards, Community Service Award, Distinguished Citizen Award, and the Chairman’s W.G. Mealor Award.

Guest Speaker John Adams has a 35 year career in food and consumer goods manufacturing including assignments in plant management in the U.S. and internationally. He joined the Wrigley Company in 1999 as Senior Director – Supply Chain in Europe / the Middle East / Africa / India. In 2007 Adams was named Vice President-Worldwide Supply Chain. In this role, he leads Wrigley’s manufacturing and logistics functions for 23 Wrigley factories in 15 countries with 9,300 Wrigley employees. Together with 50 external producers, they provide gum and confectionery products to over 100 countries. A United States Navy Lieutenant, Adams has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a MBA from Southern Methodist University.

A Champagne Reception follows the program in Yonah Hall and on the front lawn of Brenau University with an array of delicious foods and festive music.
