Douglas R. Manning, chairman and CEO of Hygafem-Georgia, Inc., founded the company five years ago in Buford and moved operations to Gainesville in 2000. The company has grown from one to 16 employees and offers a wide range of unique hygiene services.
Hygafem-Georgia has developed a very comprehensive range of services to reduce cross-infection risks including a unique hygienic products disposal system, air freshener systems that use chemicals to kill odor-associated molecules, inline sanitizers, and auto-flushing systems.
The company and its directors are heavily involved in the community. A native of England, Manning served as Director of British American Business Group of Atlanta for 11 years and frequently serves as a host for trade missions between the UK and Georgia. In 1998, he received a knighthood order by Queen Elizabeth II for services to business and the community in the Southeastern United States.

The company began operations in 1978 in a 200 square foot garage and currently operates out of a 12,000 square foot facility in Atlas Circle Industrial Park in Gainesville. With a staff of over 40, the company slogan is “Professional People – Professional Results.”
Under the direction of company President Chip Morris, Landscape Management is heavily involved in the community. The Greater Hall Chamber has received complimentary flowers/seasonal color and discounted landscape services since 1981.
