Small Business Success Seminar
Gainesville, GA – November 10, 2010:
The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will host a Small Business Success Seminar on Tuesday, November 16 from 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at Featherbone Communiversity, 999 Chestnut Street in Gainesville.
Joe Beaulieu, Enterprise Innovation Institute of Georgia Tech will present this seminar for small businesses.
This two hour seminar/beginner level course is a must for those thinking of doing business with the government. A general overview of how the government buys goods and services and the seven (7) phases of government procurement will be discussed in detail. Additional topics include governmental registrations, market research on what the government buys, how government agencies advertise their procurements, understanding “ads” from sources like FedBizOpps, introduction to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), how to find internet marketing opportunities, how to locate subcontracting opportunities with government “prime” contractors, bidding, and much more.
Small Business Success Seminars, sponsored by United Community Bank, are FREE for Greater Hall Chamber members, $15 for guests. The seminars cover a wide variety of issues and subjects of interest to small business owners and managers and begin with networking opportunities (7:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.), followed by the program at 8:00 a.m.
