Partners in Education Planning Meeting

Gainesville-GA/Tuesday, August 18: The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Education Division will hold a Partners In Education (PIE) Planning Meeting on Thursday, August 20 at 3:00 at the Greater Hall Chamber, 230 E.E. Butler Parkway in Downtown Gainesville. The purpose of the meeting is to brain-storm and plan the 2009-2010 year. Educators will be attending to share their PIE experiences. All PIE business participants are encouraged to attend.

Partners in Education, a program of the Greater Hall Chamber, is a mutually supportive arrangement between a business/organization and a school. Over 275 businesses are participating in the Chamber’s Partners in Education program, a business-to-school workforce initiative dedicated to bringing businesses and schools together. The primary goal is to strengthen and enrich instructional programs and enhance the educational experiences of students. PIE allows businesses the opportunity to contribute to the education of a well-trained future work force and provide students and teachers first-hand work exposure.
