Northeast Georgia Career Expo & Job Fair is April 26

The Northeast Georgia Career Expo and Job Fair 2005 is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor and co-sponsored by Lanier Technical College and will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2005 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center in Downtown Gainesville. An annual program of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, the Job Fair has proven to be the most effective way for area companies to recruit the best trained and qualified workers in Northeast Georgia.

“This annual event draws more than 1,000 job seekers on average each year, and many of the region¹s employers participate making the event one of the best in the state to attend as a job seeker,” said Mel Wages, Employment & Training Consultant for the Georgia Department of Labor.

“Employers are encouraged to sign up early, as the job fair reaches capacity quickly with more than 40 booths sold each year,” said Membership Vice President Robin Overby. “If your company is interested in this outstanding recruiting opportunity please contact me at the Greater Hall Chamber.”

Job Fair Table Exhibits are now available for $185 each and include a six foot table, tablecloth and two chairs. Electrical outlets, additional chairs and extension cords are available for an extra fee. Job Fair tables and equipment will be issued on a first come, first serve basis, and rental fees must be paid in advance.
