Nationally Recogized Health Care Reform Expert to Speak at HealthSmart Expo
Mike Whitney, founder and co-owner of Flexible Benefit Group, Inc. will make a special presentation on Health Care Reform at the HealthSmart Breakfast on Wednesday, October 6 at 7:30 a.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center. A roundtable discussion follows from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Cost is $10 Chamber Members; $15 non-members and includes a continental breakfast.
Flexible Benefit Group (FBG) is a Third Party Administrator specializing in Section 125 & Consumer Directed Health Care plans such as MERP, HRA and HSA plans. Mike Whitney has a national reputation in the employee benefit field and is a frequent speaker at employee benefit meetings. He was the founding chairman of the Cafeteria Plan Advisors Council and co-founded the Professional Standards Advisory Committee within the Employer’s Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC). ECFC is non-profit association committed to the study and promotion of 401(k), Cafeteria and other elective compensation programs. He is one of four individuals selected by the American Society of Pension Actuaries to develop the curriculum for a course in Health and Welfare benefits.
