Most Fit Company Awards

The Greater Hall Chamber presented the 2013 Most Fit Company Awards at the HealthSmart Breakfast on October 9 at the Gainesville Civic Center. A VISION 2030’s Community Wellness Initiative, judging criteria for the contest included wellness, nutrition and fitness opportunities provided for employees.  The awards were presented in three categories: Small companies (50 or less), Medium companies (51-250), and Large companies (251+ employees).

HTI Employment Solutions (< 50 Employees)

HTI Representative:  Kelly Smith

Designated a Certified Drug-Free Workplace by the Georgia State Board of Workers Compensation, HTI Employment Solutions sponsors many activities that promote a fit and healthy work environment. HTI is a hiring agency with 110 employees nationally and five (5) employees at the Gainesville location.  HTI has sponsored “Biggest Loser” competitions where employees work with registered dieticians and fitness consultants.  The company also organizes walking and running teams for many local races which encourages physical activity among employees while supporting local charitable organizations.  In 2014, HTI will have a formal, organized company running team. HTI encourages participation in race events (running, cycling, or multi-sport) by purchasing team uniforms for employees who wish to wear them. ProCare Rx currently employs 156 people at its Gainesville GA, Miramar FL and other remote locations with 112 staff working from the corporate campus in Gainesville.  ProCare Rx is a privately owned pharmacy benefit manager and healthcare information technology company providing services to clients nationally.  Roger and Barbara Burgess started the company over 25 years ago, and have grown the company to now providing pharmacy benefit plan offerings to over 9 million clients. With  ‘CARE’ as it’s middle name,  ProCare Rx helps clients manage controllable pharmacy healthcare costs and plays a vital role in helping to ensure clients receive the most appropriate medication care protocols available.  ProCare Rx located to Gainesville-Hall County in 2012 offering their employees a fully equipped onsite gym, workout facility and outside walking paths.  The company launched a corporate wellness program, “Healthy by Choice”. Hall County Government (251+ Employees)

Hall County Government has approximately 1,400 employees, from 37 different departments, serving over 185,000 citizens. Services range from ensuring the public’s safety, to providing sewer service, maintaining roads, issuing business licenses and building permits, providing a quality judicial system and a secure correctional institute.  Hall County’s health-based initiative, Healthy Hall County, is geared toward Hall County employees, their dependents and retirees. Its purpose is to create a healthier and happier work force by providing employees with the tools to successfully reach their overall fitness goals. The program includes free access to community health centers, and free boot camps and fitness sessions at the Hall County Government Center and Community Centers. Some 200 employees registered for Healthy Hall County in 2013, and the program includes incentives for employees who actively participate.   Participants can earn $50 gift cards, electronics and more for participating in the initiative. In addition, Hall County Government has partnered with area businesses to offer discounts to employees who participate in the program.  A wellness fair is held annually for employees, offering health screenings and skills to improve their overall health. Hall County Government also partners with Oakwood Occasions, located in the Hall County Government Center, to provide healthy eating options for employees year-round.
