Membership: A Solid Business Investment

Membership: A Solid Business Investment

By Kit Dunlap, President & CEO, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the many new members that joined the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce during the recent Membership Campaign. Joining the Chamber is a solid business investment, and during these challenging economic times, the Chamber can be your greatest ally.

The Chamber’s mission is to promote business. Chamber programs and projects are specifically designed to help members grow their businesses. The Chamber brings in speakers, offers educational seminars, creates informational newsletters, hosts luncheons, spotlights successful members, facilitates small business counseling, supplies relevant demographic data, sponsors business expos, and offers a variety of other programs intended to help grow members’ businesses.

Networking, creating contacts and expanding the exposure of your business is one of the greatest benefits of chamber membership. Through membership events, members have the opportunity to meet a host of like-minded people. Regularly sponsored events offer you the chance to meet and do business with your fellow Chamber members. Group meetings such as the Leads Group and the Ambassador Council provide further opportunities to promote your business.

Legislation, at the state and national level, has a profound impact on business. The Chamber is the voice for business in the political arena, representing the important issues that affect small, medium and large businesses. With your input, the Chamber and it’s governmental affairs programs can make a difference and provide tangible results. Be sure to participate in the Annual Eggs and Issues Breakfast on December 11 with Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Senator Lee Hawkins, Representatives James Mills, Carl Rogers, Doug Collins, Tommy Benton. You will have the opportunity to hear the issues at hand and ask questions of our elected officials.

Now that you’ve joined the Chamber, the next big step is getting involved. The Chamber has a variety of committees that allow you to participate in our business community on issues of importance to you. By joining one of these committees, you can make a difference and have your voice heard.

Lastly, the Chamber offers members discounts and deals on everything from health insurance to workers compensation insurance through participation in the Drugs Don’t Work program. Attend the New Member Breakfast on November 7 at the new Hilton Garden Inn and learn how to take advantage of all the programs and activities that the Greater Hall Chamber has to offer! Thank you to all of our Chamber members… We love referring our members!
