KOSWIRE, Inc., a wire drawing company, recently opened its first United States operation in Flowery Branch. The 100,000 square foot facility is located on Cantrell Road and employs some 25 employees. Buford native Steve Pass has been with the company for two years and now serves as KOSWIRE General Manager.
Founded in the 1950’s, parent company Korea Sangsa is located in Seoul, Korea. The Flowery Branch plant reduces the diameter of wire for stainless steel springs used primarily in the aerosol market. The local facility expects to produce 300,000 pounds of wire a month.
“The first U.S. based facility chose to locate in Hall County for its good Southeastern, centralized location,” said General Manager Steve Pass. “The proximity of the Atlanta airport, quality labor availability and a solid interstate network assisted in making the selection of Flowery Branch an easy one.”
