Jinsung T.E.C, Inc., a Korean-based manufacturer, celebrated the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility on July 22. Jinsung located to Oakwood Industrial Park South this spring and has hired 15 employees. The company expects to hire up to 30 over the next three years and will invest $10 million in building and equipment.
“Georgia and the Southeast have become a major center for the construction equipment industry, and Jinsung TEC is a great addition to be the supplier of choice for undercarriage solutions in the region. The company has been an outstanding partner in providing quality jobs to Hall County’s highly skilled workforce,” said Tim Evans, Vice President Economic Development, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.
“We’ve already made significant amount of investment in 2014 and have more expansion plans for next year and for many years to come. This was only possible with help from local government and support from our customers,” said Y.J. Ha, General Deputy Manager, Jinsung TEC.
Jinsung TEC has been a leading producer of heavy construction equipment parts in Korea since 1982. The new location in Oakwood, Georgia establishes the company’s manufacturing facility in the Southeastern United States and will supply idlers to the Caterpillar facility near Athens, Georgia.
