Health Insurance For Small Businesses

Healthcare is the number one public policy concern of small businesses. According to a 1999 study by the National Small Business United and Arthur Anderson’s Enterprise Group, small business owners cited ‘making healthcare more affordable’ as the most important issue needing public attention.

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce is addressing this concern through a program called MemberCare Alliance of Hall County, part of a statewide network of more than 65 chambers of commerce offering discounted insurance products to Chamber members.

The program features group health insurance available through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, Inc. (an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association) and features a premium discount of 3 – 5% for Chamber members with two to 99 covered employees, depending on the size of your business and the plan you select.

In addition, a variety of other insurance companies offer products – most at discounted premium rates, such as long and short term disability, dental, accidental death, dismemberment and term life insurance. All of these products are available through Greater Hall Chamber member insurance agents.

Take advantage of this value-added benefit offered specifically for Chamber members. Call Natalie Kempker at the Greater Hall Chamber, Purchasing Alliance Solutions at 770-579-1214 or one of your local participating Chamber member insurance agents for details.
