Director of Breast Cancer Research

Dr. Yardley has a wide variety of clinic research interests with a special focus on breast cancer and hematology. A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology, she also holds memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Cancer Society, American Society of Breast Disease, American College of Physicians and American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Yardley received her medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia in 1988 and performed her residency and fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at The University of Texas. She remained at UT Southwestern Medical Center as faculty member in the Division of Hematology/Medical Oncology at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. While there she served as director of medical oncology for the UT Southwestern Center for Breast Care before relocating to The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Yardley has received the American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Career Development Award.
