Groundbreaking for New Retail Development in Gainesville

Gainesville, GA – Trivest Real Estate announces the groundbreaking for Beechwood Crossing Shopping Center in Gainesville, Georgia.  This highly-anticipated retail development is conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 53 and Beechwood Boulevard.  In the heart of the Gainesville retail market, the development fronts Highway 53 just north of its intersection with McEver Road.

Beechwood Crossing will consist of up to four pad sites for retail uses. Two restaurants new to the Gainesville market are already under contract with detailed announcements in the next 60-90 days. Additional retail and restaurant sites are available in the center.

“We are encouraged by the retail development in the Dawsonville Highway area of Gainesville,” said Greater Hall Chamber Retail Initiative Chairman Dick Valentine, United Community Bank.  “These new restaurants and stores provide new jobs and will likely draw sales from East Forsyth consumers as well as keeping sales tax dollars in Hall County for education and infrastructure projects.
The retail sector in Gainesville is experiencing rapid growth with the recent opening of two new stores on the corner of Dawsonville Highway and McEver Road — Michael’s, an arts and crafts chain store, as well as Ulta, a cosmetics and fragrance.  Michael’s occupies 22,231 square feet, while Ulta is located in a 10,012 square-foot space.  The Greater Hall Chamber worked with the developer and coordinated efforts with the City of Gainesville and local utility providers to encourage the project.

Also recently opening, The Children’s Place, a leading children’s specialty apparel retailer at Village Shoppes of Gainesville, and Irish Bred, a new store-front restaurant, now open at Lakeshore Mall.  The Greater Hall Chamber was instrumental in assisting these developments as well.

Ruth Bruner, Mayor, City of Gainesville, stated, “The City of Gainesville, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Department of Transportation and other partners have coordinated efforts to facilitate these new retail developments to support the community’s growing population and demand for retail services.”

Trivest Real Estate is a commercial real estate firm specializing in retail sites and development, investment sales, and land sales. The principals in Trivest were involved in the development of the Mall of Georgia and dozens of other retail projects across the Southeast.
Gainesville resident Tim Knight, co-owner of Trivest, said “Gainesville-Hall County is a real bright spot in retail, as the retail market is stagnant in Georgia and across much of the nation.  The recent activity in this market is rare and speaks to the opportunity, growth and the resilience of the local economy. This community is at an advantage because of the way its leadership works together toward a common goal of retaining sales tax dollars in the community.”
