Wm. Wrigley Co. Executive to Speak at May 17 Event at Brenau University
Gainesville, GA-04/13/07: The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce 99th Annual Meeting & Gala will feature Guest Speaker John Adams, Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing for the Wm. Wrigley, Jr. Company at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Brenau University, Pearce Auditorium.
The event will include a very special night of recognition and accomplishment hosted by Greater Hall Chamber Chairman Jimmy Adam, Adams Transfer & Storage Co., Chairman-Elect Denise Deal and Chamber President/CEO Kit Dunlap. The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will announce the Small Business of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Silver Shovel Awards, the Distinguished Community Service Award and the Chairman’s W.G. Mealor Award.
Guest Speaker John Adams has a 35 year career in food and consumer goods manufacturing including assignments in plant management in the U.S. and internationally. He joined the Wrigley Company in 1999 as Senior Director Supply Chain in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. In 2007 Adams was named Vice President Worldwide Supply Chain. In this role, he leads Wrigley’s manufacturing and logistics functions for 23 Wrigley factories in 15 countries with 9,300 Wrigley employees. Together with 50 external producers, they provide gum and confectionery products to over 100 countries. A United States Navy Lieutenant, Adams has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a MBA from Southern Methodist University.
