Greater Hall Chamber Initiates New Youth Leadership Program

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Leadership Hall County program has been training area leaders for over 20 years. Due to its success, the Chamber initiates the new Youth Leadership Hall (YLH) this fall. The program is designed for high school juniors and seniors and enables students to develop leadership skills, while increasing awareness of the community. The program will have two sessions, fall and spring, and seeks to provide an investment in the community’s future leadership by fostering interest in the community and inspiring students to become the leaders of tomorrow.

“For some time, we have prepared for the implementation of a youth leadership program in Hall County and are excited to kick it off this fall,” said Greater Hall Chamber President/CEO Kit Dunlap. “With assistance from the J.W. Fanning Leadership Institute at the University of Georgia and our school systems, we have planned a dynamic program that will foster our future leaders in a unique learning experience.”

Sessions will focus on leadership skills, successful team work, community awareness, diversity, and business and social etiquette. Participants have an expressed interest in understanding and serving the community and demonstrate leadership ability. Students must have a satisfactory academic standing and were nominated by a teacher, coach, or extra curricular activity director.
