DULUTH, Ga., June 26, 2008 Patrick Clark has been promoted to general manager and vice president for Newland Communities in Georgia. Clark, who was previously vice president of operations for Newland Communities, now manages all operations and development for the master plan developer’s Georgia properties, which include Sterling on the Lake in Flowery Branch, Windermere in Cumming, and a planned 1800-unit community on the Etowah River in Cherokee County.
Clark has 25 years’ experience in land development and construction. He started working for Newland Communities in 2004 overseeing operations at Windermere. Prior to that time, he was the development manager for Falling Water Investments Inc., where he managed all of the developments constructed by Falling Water for Pulte Homes. Over the course of his career, Clark has served as vice president and general manager for Rick Olsen Homes; co-manager for Crown Development L.L.C.; vice president of acquisitions and development for McCar Development Corp.; division coordinator/field sales manager for Drees Homes; purchasing manager for L.J. Hooker Homes/Hooker-Barnes Homes; and was a lead estimator/field administrator for Metro Development Corp.
A resident of Marietta, Ga., he graduated from Michigan State University in 1984 with a B.S. degree in building construction sciences.
