VISION 2030 Art Contest for Gainesville-Hall County Elementary, Middle School and High School Students
Gainesville, GA-02/24/06: As part of the VISION 2030 project, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce officials are looking for student paintings or drawings that can help people in Gainesville-Hall County visualize the future of our community. VISION 2030 is a nine-month effort, sponsored by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, to create a vision and strategic plan for Gainesville-Hall County.
VISION 2030 leaders are seeking art works by elementary, middle-school and high school students in Hall County. Judges will be seeking paintings or drawings that illustrate the important issues Gainesville-Hall County citizens said last fall they wanted to address in our community, such as tourism, education, land use, transportation, ethnic diversity, culture, quality of life and healthcare. All students from Gainesville, Hall County, and local private systems are invited to participate as well as home school students.
Student must be an elementary, middle-school or high school student in public or private school or home school in Gainesville or Hall County and teachers must submit no more than two art works per class to VISION 2030. VISION 2030 officials will award one first-place winner and two runners-up for elementary, middle and high school submissions. The first-place winners will receive $100 cash prizes, the runners-up will receive $50 cash prizes.
