About Johnny Isakson
As a business leader, Isakson served as president of Northside Realty for 20 years, presiding over the company’s growth into the largest independent residential real estate brokerage company in the Southeast. He served 17 years in the Georgia Legislature and three years as Chairman of the Georgia Board of Education. He was elected three times to the U.S. House before winning his U.S. Senate seat in 2004. In Washington, Johnny helped pass the largest tax cut in a generation in 2001, and is committed to making it permanent. He drew on his decades of experience in real estate to offer solutions to reduce the inventory of foreclosed homes and to restore the nation’s housing market. Isakson has worked to strengthen our Armed Forces, having served in the Georgia Air National Guard from 1966-1972. He was an original author of the No Child Left Behind Act, which has resulted in the most significant improvement to our education system in a generation and continues to push for immigration reform that is built on a foundation of securing our borders first.
