Chamber Board of Directors Nominations

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Nominating Committee presents seven new nominees for Board members: Mark Bell, The Bell Company; Dr. Lynn Carter, KLS Chiropractic; Cooper Embry, United Community Bank; Tami Lee, Brenau University; Dr. Holmes Marchman, The Longstreet Clinic; Enrique Montiel, Merial Select; Brian Willman, Wachovia.

The Nominating Committee, in accordance with the Bylaws (Article 5, Section 5), nominates these individuals to serve as members of the Board of Directors of the Greater Hall Chamber for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2010. The election of new directors will take place in April in accordance with the Chamber By-Laws. Members of the Nominating Committee include Chamber Chairman Jimmy Adams, Chairman-Elect Denise Deal and Past Chairmen John Vardeman, Rob Fowler, Benny Bagwell and Dick Valentine.

Mark Bell, The Bell Company
Mark Bell is owner of The Bell Company, LLC, a professional business intermediary representing small and mid-sized businesses in all aspects of the sale or purchase of a business. Mark received a B.S. in Industrial Management from Clemson University and a B.S. in Accounting from Brenau University. He started his career in public accounting and then moved into the corporate sector where he spent 14 years. In the corporate sector, Mark last held the position of CFO at Stork Gamco, an international manufacturing company of poultry processing equipment. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Georgia Association of Business Brokers, the International Business Brokers Association and the Georgia Society of CPA’s. He is a licensed Business Broker as a Georgia Real Estate licensee. He currently serves on the United Way Finance Committee, Gainesville Kiwanis Club and is a past member of the Brenau University Board of Advisors, Mt. Vernon Elementary PTO and is a Leadership Hall County graduate.

Dr. Lynn Carter, KLS Chiropractic
Dr. Lynn Carter is a Doctor of Chiropractor and recently relocated her practice within KLS Chiropractic. Dr. Carter received her degree from Life University and has been professionally serving Hall County since 2000. As a graduate of Leadership Hall County, she continued leadership roles in the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce by being a part of the Leadership Hall Planning Committee for three years and the Selection Committee for two years. She currently serves on the Gainesville State College Foundation Trustee Board. In 2006, Dr. Carter co-chaired the Gainesville-Hall County Junior League Thrift Sale. She was selected to be Gainesville-Hall County Junior League Member Representative and will be serving on the 2007-2008 Board of Directors. Recently, she became a founding member of The History Center’s Young Professionals. She is married to Adam Carter, Deputy Commandant of Riverside Military Academy and resides in Gainesville.

Cooper Embry, United Community Bank
H. Cooper Embry is a Vice President of Commercial Lending for United Community Bank. Embry is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he attained a BBA in International Business. Embry was chairman of the Education SPLOST campaign in 2006 for the Greater Hall Chamber. He is a graduate of Leadership Hall County and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County, the VISION 2030 Committee and is Treasurer for the Centennial Arts Academy Parent Teacher Association. He is a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church where he serves on the Lay Leadership and Finance Committees. He and his wife Elizabeth have three children.

Tami Lee, Brenau University
Tami Lee is Director of Special Events at Brenau University. Lee is also a radio news commentator and can be heard reporting the news on WDUN AM 55. Tami received her BA in Mass Communications from Brenau University. Her past involvement with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce includes serving as an Associate Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Ambassador Council, Co-Chairman of the 2006 and 2007 Gala Committees. She has served regularly on the Business EXPO and Annual Hackers Holiday Golf Tournament committees. Tami is a graduate of Leadership Hall County, is a member of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, and a member of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors International. She was voted the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year in 2005. She and her husband, Stephen, currently reside in Lawrenceville.

Dr. Holmes Marchman, The Longstreet Clinic
Holmes B. Marchman, MD began his practice in Gainesville in 1993 and is a founding member of The Longstreet Clinic. Marchman graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and special practice interests include spine care, electrodiagnosis and sports medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with professional affiliations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia and the Hall County Medical Society. He is a member of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Committee.

Enrique Montiel, Merial Select
Enrique Montiel, DVM, is Senior Veterinarian with Merial Select, Inc. in Gainesville. He has been employed with Merial for 12 years and previously was the Director of their worldwide Avian Technical Services. A native of Maracaibo, Venezuela, Montiel received his veterinary degree from la Universidad del Zulia where he has served as an honorary professor for their avian graduate program since 2004. He received his Master of Science Degree from the University of Delaware and has been a Diplomate member of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians since 1997. Active in a number of community activities, he has served as chairman of the Gainesville Multi-cultural Committee since 1997; is a member of the VISION 2030 Steering Committee and a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County.

Brian Willman, Wachovia
Brian R. Willman is the president of Wachovia Bank, North Georgia region. Willman is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he attained is B.S. is Business Administration in 1995. Willman is a graduate of Leadership Hall County, a member of the Gainesville Rotary club and a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church where he serves on the Finance Committee. He and his wife, Tamara, live in Gainesville with their two children, Oliver and Miles.
