Chamber AgriBusiness Award Nominations Now Being Accepted

Gainesville, GA – 03-19-08: The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce AgriBusiness Committee and the Hall County Extension Service’s AgriBusiness Recognition Breakfast is Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 a.m. at the East Hall Community Center. Nominations are now being accepted for awards for the annual event that seeks to promote the agriculture industry in Gainesville-Hall County.

Nominations are open for awards in the following categories:

Friend of Agribusiness… an individual who has consistently promoted agribusiness and agriculture in Hall County. (2007 Winner: Richard Henderson)

Outstanding Agribusiness… a member of the agribusiness community who demonstrates significant presence and progress in this area. The agribusiness must have been in operation for at least five years to qualify for this award. (2007 Winner: Full Bloom Nursery, Tim & Kellie Bowen)

Farmer of the Year… a person who has made significant contribution to agribusiness and community services. (2007 Winner: Daniel Oliver & Sons)

Ag Hall of Fame… this award is given each year (living or deceased) in recognitions of sustained contributions to Hall County agriculture and agribusiness. (2007 Winners: Gordon Sawyer, Charles Adams, Whitey Butler)
