Chamber Treasurer Bill Galardi reported that Jesse Carter of Hudson Carter & Associates has completed the Greater Hall Chamber audit. Mr. Carter said the Chamber audit resulted in his issuing “a clean opinion,” indicating all books and financials are in order.
The Board discussed continuing the Annual Legislative Reception held in Atlanta in honor of our Georgia House of Representatives and State Senators. Denise Deal, Jackson EMC, agreed to serve as chairman of the event. The Reception is Tuesday, February 11, at the Atlanta Sheraton at 5:30 p.m.
As part of the Bricks for Business program, Membership Sales Rep Dodie Ellison sold 29 bricks in 2 days (selling them as Christmas bricks for grandchildren, etc.). Pam McNeilly, Regions Bank, and Gary Hutchins, Northeast Georgia Health Systems, are co-chairing the program. South Hall Council Chairman Russell Vandiver reported that the annual Transportation Forum presentation by the Georgia Department of Transportation is set for February 4, 2003 at Lanier Technical College in the Lecture Hall. The South Hall Council is also discussing a program in the near future on healthcare needs in South Hall.
