Adopt-A-Park Program

Adopt-A-Park (AAP) is a cooperative effort of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, Gainesville Parks and Recreation and Hall County Parks and Leisure Services. The mission of the program is to improve the overall quality of life in Gainesville and Hall County by promoting and recognizing the beautification and enhancement of public property.



AAP was initiated in 1989, and today some 11 parks are landscaped and maintained by area companies: Regions Bank, Downtown Gainesville Square; Mansfield Oil, Railroad Museum, Engine 209; Landscape Management Company, Poultry Park and Pearl Nix Parkway median at Longwood Park; SunTrust Bank and Sunrise Landscaping, triangle in front of Gainesville Civic Center; Fireman¹s Choice Cut Landscape and Gents Club, Bi Centennial Park; Northeast Georgia Medical Center, medians on Downey Boulevard and Jesse Jewell Parkway; Friends of the Parks, Rock Creek Park, Ivey Terrace, Wilshire Trails, Longwood Park Corridor; Turner Wood and Smith and Landscape Management Co., Rock Creek Park; Coker Equipment, Lee Gilmer Airport.
