2011 Job Fair & Career Expo on June 22

Job seekers will not want to miss the Greater Hall Chamber’s Job Fair & Career Expo on Wednesday, June 22 from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center in Downtown Gainesville. The event is free, open to the public and will be held in Meeting Rooms A,B,C of the Georgia Mountains Center. Sponsors include the Greater Hall Chamber, Gainesville Area Employer Committee, King’s Hawaiian, The Times and Lanier Technical College.

The event will feature over 30 employers looking to recruit new employees. The Job Fair provides job seekers with coveted face time with hiring managers. In addition, the Georgia Department of Labor will be on hand to assist job seekers with complimentary resume reviews and writing tips.

“When you personally meet someone, you get an immediate sense of how they might interact with customers right off the bat,” said Greater Hall Chamber President/CEO Kit Dunlap. “Often in human resource work, you receive employement applications, and on paper, they sound like a mediocre candidate, but eye-to-eye you can see great customer-service skills or vice versa. The Job Fair & Career Expo will provide great benefits to both the employer and the job seeker.”
