1071 Coalition needs input from businesses as part of economic impact study of Lake Lanier

During the month of October, the 1071 Coalition, through its consultant firm The Bleakly Group, is conducting a survey of businesses as part of an economic impact study of Lake Lanier commissioned by the Coalition. The information and data collected from this survey will be critical to determine the economic impact of the lake and its changing levels on the region, which is the goal of the study. The survey is being paid for by Coalition member donations including those contributed by area businesses and county governments.

The 1071 Coalition encourages all businesses to participate in the confidential, web-based survey. To take the survey, click here or go to www.1071Coalition.org. Survey respondents can chose to remain anonymous or agree to be contacted for a follow-up interview to provide more information about how changing lake levels have impacted their businesses. Even if you believe that your business is not influenced by Lake Lanier, your response is still very important. The survey should be completed by person(s) knowledgeable about your business operations and the influence of lake-area residents and/or visitors to your annual revenues. It is being sent to a cross section of the region’s business community, recognizing that some businesses will be more directly affected by Lake Lanier than others.

Please participate in this very important survey and help make it and the economic impact study as informative and accurate as possible. The survey results are expected to be reported in November, and the complete economic impact study completed by the end of this year.

Member contributions are still needed to complete the work of the survey. To donate to the 1071 Coalition, please click here or visit www.1071Coalition.org.
