Gainesville’s first and only daycare and boarding facility where us dogs can play cage free with our best friends all day long!
Gainesville, GA – December 13, 2006 – Gypsy Paws doggie daycare and sleepovers, locally owned and operated, is opening December 15, 2006. To celebrate, our humans are announcing a partnership with the Hall County Humane Society. This year long partnership will help all of us four legged canines find warm healthy places to sleep!
Why doggie daycare? Doggie daycare is a fun filled alternative to being left alone in boredom to chew shoes, wet the carpet, and then have someone yell at us when they get home. We K9’s, like children, need interaction and socialization with others. To provide this, Kelley Emrey, owner and local resident, left her corporate job in Atlanta to provide us a safe, healthy, loving place to roam and be pampered.
Gypsy Paws is designed for outdoor and indoor play. The large outside play area is equipped with slides, sandboxes, and water mists for hot summer days. The indoor playrooms are available for yucky days. No more “wet and stinky” name calling for us! For sleepovers, luxury suites with comfy chairs, beds, and cable TV provide an at-home atmosphere. Crates with fresh linens are offered in the gathering room for social pups who want to stay with others at night.
Our favorite part about doggie daycare is that we get to play outside all day! We get plenty of water, toys, love, and affection! Mom and dad, can you imagine what the best part of doggie daycare for you? When you pick us up, we are calmer, less anxious, and better behaved after a long day at work?
Doggie daycare has been around since the late ‘80’s. Online magazine VetCentric.com described the benefits of dog day care this way:
“The guiding principle behind dog day care is simple – provide a safe and healthy atmosphere with lots of interaction, both with other dogs and with people. Dogs can participate in group play, gnaw on a favorite toy, hang out with humans in the office, or just lounge on a couch and watch television. The point is that they’re not at home by themselves.”
