codaDOSE™ Developed Locally

codaDOSE™ Developed Locally- “Dosing Done Right.” The system was developed to provide a simple, safe and accurate way of dosing medication for children.

Children are especially at risk for adverse drug events that can result from accidental ingestion, incorrect administration, or incorrect dosing of medications. Over 85% of Emergency Department visits for adverse drug events involve children under the age of five. The American Academy of Pediatrics, the FDA, and consumer groups have long been concerned with preventing adverse drug events in children. In response, the codaDOSE™ system, featuring a flow restrictor to guard against accidental ingestion, single line oral dispensers and customized pediatric formulations, was developed and launched in 2008 by codaDOSE, Inc.

Zodryl™ is a pediatric prescription medication to treat cough in children and is codaDOSE™ compliant. Zodryl™ was launched in August 2009 by codaDOSE, Inc. Since opening a year ago, Hall Bioscience, Inc. and codaDOSE, Inc. have introduced four FDA compliant products. codaDOSE, Inc. has 23 employees nationwide and foresees growth as multiple future products are in the research and development phase. All research and development of these pharmaceutical products is completed in Gainesville.
